Tamarind drink (Dakhar)

Dakhar juice (tamarind concoction) is tangy and very refreshing.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g of tamarin

  • 300 g of powdered sugar

  • 3 sachets of vanilla sugar

  • 2 tablespoonfuls of orange flower

PREPARATION

  • Wash the tamarind, then soak it in 1 L of water for 1 h

  • Mix until you obtain a thick and smooth texture

  • Add water in order to reduce the consistency and obtain an juicy liquid

  • Remove the tamarind seeds using a kitchen sieve to preserve the juice

  • Sweeten and add flavor to the juice with orange flower

  • Serve chilled
