The Lagoon, classified as a nature reserve, extends over 700 hectares and is home to more than 150 species of birds (herons, pelicans, flamingos). The nature reserve includes the mangrove area lined with mangrove trees, an ornithological reserve and the lagoon beach.

Within the reserve, various activities are offered: ride aboard a motorized canoe with a guide, observation of sea turtles, board sports (surfing, bodyboarding and stand-up paddle).
