The region of Kolda, former kingdom of Fouladou, is marked by the cultural and heritage heritage of the Baldé dynasty. The ruins of the fortress of King Moussa Molo stand north of Kolda, in the commune of Ndorna. The tree of Moussa Molo, a caïlcédrat several meters high which once served as protection for the king, can be admired in Kolda, in the Doumassou district. Legend has it that the majestic tree grants wishes made at its feet!
